Steampunk by DonaIvanova Steampunk by DonaIvanova
Woo, steampunk! Made entirely of scavenged parts, stuff from the hardware store, and brass or steel rings in 18ga and 20ga. That's a real skeleton key, too, probably from a cabinet by the looks of it. Oh, and the teardrop shaped loop in the center? That's a spring, and it's incredibly fun to play with. I threw this in the auction at Polycon this year, and lo and behold, it went for $40! Woo! I now have a decent collection of neat looking keys to make more if anyone wants one... *hint hint*

I'm not sure where you live, but there are a number of shops that sell antiques and the like in California that have a decent selection of antique keys, clock winders, etc. I got mine in Niles District in Fremont, but that might be a bit of a drive for you.

I might suggest Ebay then. Sometimes highly overpriced, though. I got mine for $1.50 each.

It looks far better with a full outfit behind it, and especially with a corset to back it up.
