Con Accomplished

Sun Jul 12, 2009, 10:33 AM
So, I managed to make well over $150 while at PolyCon. Sold a $40 chainmail ring in 22ga tiny rings, sold a few pendants (though not the ones I was expecting...) and put a few items in the auction. Ice Dragon from my gallery sold for $62 (!!!) but as a donation to the con for its continued existence, and my Carnelian Necklace sold for barely enough to cover my materials cost (-_-) Someone is now in possession of a $120 necklace that they bought for a third of that. Ah well. I also sold my oops dicebag, but come to think of it, I never got pictures of that one posted. Such is life.

Next, I need to finish the chainmail belt commission I'm working on, and figure out a dolphin inlay (or find a pattern somewhere) for another dicebag. And after that, I get to somehow figure out how to make a Bumblebee (from Transformers) inspired dicebag. That one will be.... interesting. And by that I mean almost impossible.

For the Bumblebee dice bag...I suggest going with a color scheme and _maybe_ work in the Transformers logo if you can. Yellow with black accents would fit the general design, and the logo in blue would stand out nicely. Just a thought...

Glad the Con went well! =D

The Transformers logo is so complex... unless I did the whole bag in 20ga rings, I'm afraid it would be pixelated beyond recognition.

Ah, fair nuf. I wasn't sure if it was too much since you'd managed the Mage emblem, but I suppose that's a much simpler design. Maybe something in yellow and black that's reversible? It's sort of a stretch but it would allow the bag to "transform".

Ooof. I think I'll worry about the dolphin first. So much easier.
